Killer Instinct describes the Burner 415 with four features that matter in the field:

• 6-position AR-style buttstock that shortens for smaller shooters and extends for taller ones.
• Micro-Lite aluminum barrel to keep weight down.
• X-Lok adjustable foregrip on a narrow frame.
• Integrated Dead Silent Kit for noise reduction.

The same four features appear on the Boss 405 listing, which is why the two are so often cross-shopped.

Both pull 220 pounds and weigh the same. The Burner's longer power stroke is where the extra 10 FPS and 7 ft-lb come from, at the cost of an inch more length. For narrower bows at the same speed, the FanatiX 415 and Vital-XDC are listed on the 415 comparison.

The Burner 415 owner's manual sets two hard rules: finished arrows of at least 370 grains and at least 20 inches long. Underweight arrows can damage the crossbow. The manual also notes that the scope reticles are set in 10-yard increments using a 390-grain total arrow weight, so a heavier bolt than the stock 370-grain HYPR Lite will need re-zeroing.

The official store's Burner 415 spare-parts page lists the SPK-STRING-1 string, SPK-CABLESET-1 cable set, cable slide 2, string suppressor set 5, the 2026 narrow sled rope cocker, buttstock, grip, quiver and arrow retainer. Aftermarket makers also sell 34.5-inch Burner 415 strings on Amazon.

Killer Instinct's FAQ says strings and cables should be replaced every 2-3 years under normal shooting, are not covered by warranty, and are best changed by an authorized dealer with a crossbow press. Wax them monthly in storage. More on the strings page.
